Snoozing Golden

I first started sculpting in 1999 and had signed up for a sculpture class. I brought home my supplies and couldn’t resist trying to create something with the plastelene clay. This golden retriever laying with his head on the ground was modeled on my own golden retriever. The clay sculpture sat on a shelf in my studio for over twenty years until I dusted it off, updated it with some small changes, and had it cast in bronze.
